French Quarter Festival Volunteers 2011

Volunteer Registration for the 2012 French Quarter Festival will be opening soon.

Want to be a French Quarter Festival Volunteer?

You’ll meet new people, have fun and support a great cause!  Volunteers are an essential part of the French Quarter Festival!   This event would not be possible without you.

What do French Quarter Festival Volunteers do?

There is a job for every interest at the French Quarter Fest.  Click 2012 Volunteer Job Descriptions on the right to see the most current information about positions available.  Also posted are maps of the festival layout so that you may pick the location that you would like to work in.

NEW FOR 2012:  Some booths have moved locations.  BEVERAGE BOOTHS are now all inclusive and sell ALL BEVERAGES the festival offers:  soda, water, beer, wine, daiquiris and cocktails.  You must be 21 to sign up for this position.  Each booth requires 6-14 volunteers depending on its location.  In addition, there are 3 jobs within a beverage booth:  cashier, runner, and pourer.  We cannot guarantee which job you will receive.

Want to volunteer with a group?

We love volunteer teams!  If you'd like to bring a group to volunteer, please be sure to sign up each member of your team indicating the name of your group leader.  You will need the following information from each member:

  • Name
  • Valid email address that belongs to him or her 
  • Phone number
  • Emergency contact name and phone number
  • T-shirt size
  • Years of service volunteering with the French Quarter Festival

Group slots fill quickly, so the earlier you sign up the better! 

Volunteer Requirements:

  • All volunteers must be 16 years and older.
  • All volunteers must sign a volunteer waiver online or upon check-in. 
  • All volunteers serving alcohol must be 21 and read & sign the LA Responsible Alcohol Vendor Handbook.
  • All volunteers must abide by the Volunteer Guidelines (posted to the right).

Volunteer Benefits:

Volunteers are asked to commit to at least one shift of up to 5 hours and will receive:

  • A limited edition collectible Volunteer t-shirt to be worn while volunteering.
  • Food tickets for each volunteer who works a complete shift.
  • Loads of appreciation from the community & French Quarter Festival Staff and the satisfaction of a job well done!

Volunteer Check-In:

NEW FOR 2012:  Volunteer Check-in for Jackson Square and the River has been moved.  NEW LOCATION IS NEXT TO HARD ROCK CAFÉ AT ST. LOUIS AND DECATUR.

Volunteer Check-in for the Mint will remain at the Mint.
